Starch cookie (Bonbon Amidon) Recipe
Ingredient
1cup Amidon (yucastarch)
1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs
Lemon zest
1/2 butter stick
Bowl
Glass or 2″ cookie cutter
Cookie sheet
Direction
Crush the starch into a fine powder if in blocks. In a bowl, mix sugar and butter until creamy. Add lemon zest and eggs. Mix in starch (cornstarch) powder until well combine. Transfer the mixture to a smooth surface area (countertop or wooden cutting board) when it becomes difficult to mix in the bowl. Form dough into a ball, flaten to spread on smooth surface. Cut round shapes with glass or with a 2-inch cookie cutter. Carefully transfer cookies onto un-greased cookie sheet, 1 inch apart. Bake at 350 degree for a maximum of 20 minutes. You may add ginger if you like. Enjoy!
